Perfect evening...but too quiet

Went up sat on top of the gravel pit...beautiful evening...very calm...birds singing, just perfect. Hit my crow call, owl call, you name it....never one peep of a gobble. Went over to the corn field, hit the call, nothing. Went down to the edge of the woods....heard 1 or 2 birds fly up way down in but no gobbles.

I hope whatever bird was gobbling didn't get shot this weekend....the farm land I hunt typically doesn't see many hunters, not too mention I don't think any youth go out. The farmer's daughter is kind of not letting many if any people hunt it besides us...but who knows.
