You must have us confused with another user. We formed Heritage Hunters last Spring but went online this past March with our site and joined the realtree forums in April. This bird was taken in Otsego County just South of Edmeston NY. I'm not familiar with the Sandy Creek area. Your username sounds familiar to me but I thought it was from Camospace when we discussed a central NY high school we both were familiar with.

I saw other posts about the NY youth hunt so I thought I'd share our success, that's all.

That's awesome. Congrats to the youngster. My nephew and I had an awesome opportunity but couldn't seal the deal on a great bird. He wouldn't come closer than 60 yds. It was still an awesome morning.

I'm real glad we were able to make this happen for this young man. We ran him ragged on Saturday chasing birds so when this old bird came in at full strut on Sunday morning, everyone (including the cameraman) was happy to see it come together. Should make for a good "FieldTrips" episode
