I know where the turkeys went....

They turned into shed antlers! No really, I went out last night to check the one corn field for birds. Snuck through the middle of the field then walked the edge of this woods to try to look down the field from above. Walking along and found a dinky 2, almost 3 point shed. Found small turkeys tracks, didn't see any but see....they turned into sheds! If you don't believe me, check the shed forum later, I'll post a photo.

On a more serious note, wish me luck. Hunting all morning till noon tomorrow. Going to try to roost something by home tonight. I think I'm going to set up on the edge of this rudge by a freshly plowed field where I found fresh scratchings and hen poop and it is the same area where that bird was gobbling a week ago. I'm going to try to be patient, take in nature, and sit there as long as it takes. The other field I was at last night has manure being spread in it, but the turkeys like that so I'll try it at some point.

Id go for the field with manure...camp out there....they will show up probably after the tractor leaves..its their dinner bell
