    Default $20 Tag???

Now would you all pay out another $20 just to get another spring turkey tag??? I personally think its way too much for about 8-10 pounds of meat! I think my state is just trying to rape the turkey hunter!!!

It costs $8.00 to apply for a permit here. And no guarentee you will even get one. If you do you have to pay yet another $10.00 to accept it. You have it good my friend.

hahah i would....when we go to Nebraska we pay $65(or it was last ime might be more now) per tag, so $130 since we get two. Then there is about $75 for teh permits to bring a shotgun into the U.S., the 16-18 hour drive(lots of gas $$), motel room, food, so yes i would love to pay $20 to hunt turkey.

Your tag money is not just paying for 8-10 lbs. of meat, but the opportunity to hunt turkeys too. Your $$$ helps conserve and improve wildlife habitats. I am sure some $$$ goes towards efforts to defend your right, our right, to hunt and bear arms as well. This not only helps us out, but future generations as well. No "raping the hunter" in my opinion.

I will pay $24.00 for my Ohio turkey tag this spring. If I am fortunate enough to take a turkey, then I will buy another $24.00 tag and try some more.

It does seem like some states take advantage of their hunters. I hope it goes towards a good cause. I started hunting in PA and now hunt in VA. VA is much more generous then the Keystone state in price and amount of tags offered on original purchase.

    3 turkeys - 3 bucks and 3 does - 1 bear!!!

    VA ain't just for lovers!!!!

$15 a tag (3 tag max) for spring turkeys here in IL for residents, $5 (I think) for fall archery turkey tags that can be bought over the counter. If you own at least 40 acres you can get a FREE landowners tag but you must hunt on the property you own to use it.

Ours are $24 bucks a piece... if I bag my first one early in the season then I'll buy another. You have to pay if you want to play... It all goes to a good cause anyway..
