who has taken over an 10 inch beard here
Longest beard here was 11.5" down in Missouri Ozarks.
This isn't uncommon though. Average range probably is around 9-11".
Always GO for the big'ns
My longest was 11 1/8 I believe.

I figure God only gave me so many sunrises, I might as well not miss one.

well I do all my hunting in missouri and I've killed 4 now and the biggest was about 11 1/2 and the other 3 were 10 1/2 to 11in.
My longest has been 11.5in (bird on the right):
but for me, it has really gotten to be all about the spurs...this old boy had 10 7/8in beard, but it was really his 1 3/8in hooks that did it for me!

My first turkey had a 10 1/2 inch beard, 33mm spurs, and weighed 20lbs 13 oz. Since it was my first and a nice one, we got it mounted.

10.75 inch beard, 1"3/8th spurs, 21 lbs.
Florida bird.
I've shot several over 10" my largest being 11 15/16.
I have quite a few birds with beards over the 10" mark. My best was a double bearded old bird dragging a 10 3/4" and a 9" beard. Spur length impresses me more than beard length.
At least one a year is the goal for us and has been for over 15yrs now. I got my last in Okla. 10 1/2" this past seaon. My best one was in Kansas 3 years back, 11 7/8" 11/2" spurs, weighed 27lbs. And been privy to seeing a group that had 4 toms with 14"+ in it. Just couldnt hunt em.
