    Question What the heck???

I was watching a hen turkey last night from my deerstand and she had brown wart-like bumps all over her head. Someone told me it was a disease that turkeys get and will probably eventually kill the bird. Anyone know anything about this?

Unfortunatley, now we are starting to understand what the second quote means, and... what the first quote says about us.

    Is this what you saw?

This is called Avian Pox. I e-mailed a friend of mine who is a wildlife biologist with KDFWR and he sent me this link.

"Infected birds should be isolated or culled to remove the source of the virus."

I'd say put the poor thing out of it's missery if you see it again. Spring bugs (the transmission vector) are just a few months away.
