Never used one but they would be just as effective as any shotgun with the right choke/load combo!
I let my wife use my Berretta o/u. She's killed severalgobblers with it. Full & mod chokes. I put the full choke in the bottom barrel & have it selected as the 1st barrel fired. That way it's recoil is more into her shoulder. It can shoot 3" shells but we use 2 3/4"-----mainly because my 870 only shoots 2 3/4". I don't want to think of which shells to use @ 5AM. I believe in the KISS method. Keep It Simple Stupid. CB
My dad also use a double barrel----it's a sXs.
Double barrel guns work. CB
Yep, I use a sXs 10 ga...

i have a benelli nova in 3.5 inch. i am trying to find a good combination without having to spend a ton of money. if anyone has this gun or know people that do and have a good setup, pleas let me know. thanks
Yep all the time when not using my bow. I have bagged many using my Charles Daly O/U. I put in full and IM chokes. I use 2 3/4 inch, #4 shot and it is effective to 25 - 30 yards.
I killed this one this fall at 30 yards
this one last fall
This one is when I loaned my gun to a kid to hunt with.
another with the daly
Good luck to all

Thanks for the info all! I'm thinking about pairing it with either Federal or Hevi-Shot loads.

Those are some good lookin' Iowa birds you got there!!
I killed my first turkey with a Browning 3 1/2" O/U.
I use my remington 332 o/u . I screwed two turkey chokes on it . Works great .
I've never seen anybody using one but its really not going to matter if you can call him in close enough to reach out and grab him anyway lol
I've never hunted with an o/u but I did kill my first turkey with a Fox Sterlingworth 12ga. 2 3/4" at 5 steps.
