    Cool post.

Wisconsin started out closing at noon also. Then as bird populations grew and applications skyrocketed, they changed it to 5pm to offer more opportunity. Recently it was changed again to 1/2 hr before sunset. It met a lot of opposition, me included, but the WDNR felt it would not affect the roosting turkeys. I disagree.

Here is MS we can hunt all day long but we're only allowed 1 adult gobbler per day & 3 per season. With that said if you're done hunting that day for whatever reason or just want to take a break and do something else my next best option is fishing.

This small private lake is right next to our camp. I also have the option of fishing another private lake that's about 40 acres with some other friends of mine during the spring turkey season.

Thats funny stuff, you guys are quite creative.
At our turkey camp it usually consists of us doing ,miles of walking and by the time noon comes, we are beat.
My sons and I are hungry and are looking forward to the breakfast that I cook when we get back to the house.
Then we shoot our bows, prep food plots, take visits from neighbors and watch the grass grow. The boys disappear on their dirt bikes and quads.

Can only hunt till 1 in IL. Normally Dad and I get back and talk about the hunt, crash for a few hours, then I'll call up ccwhitey and we'll shoot bows, or somethin or Dad and I will go look for mushrooms.
