    Default Double Bearded Hen?

What do you guys think? Its hard to tell if its just split or it is a double. The first pic looks like it is a double to me . Last year I had pics of a bearded hen , but it never looked like it was a double like this one. I cant tell if its the same hen, but it is not the same beard.

It looks split, but that's just imho. Cool pics! Thanks for sharing!

First of all, cool pics! Secondly, it's tough to tell. The first pic makes it look like a double beard, the last one makes it look split. My first impression is to say it's a double beard, but really tough to judge from those pics.

Looks like a double beard to me as most of the time hen's beards are very thin and wispy. I think they are so close together they appear to be one. It would be great to harvest her, that's for sure.

I also would have to say it is split. They are real neat, I have seen a bearded hen in every specie of turkey. Here's a Canadian one that used to visit my feeder ...

Dont know if it splits or not, looks like it does. I've seen quite a few bearded hens, but no splits. Can you shoot hens in IL?

These pics were actually taken at my place in Wisconsin where it is legal to shoot a bearded hen. It is also legal to shoot a hen if it has a beard in Illinois too.
