**Funny thing to know about HENS****

I was picking the brain of a superb turkey hunter that has harvested birds all over our great country, and the subject of those hens cutting off the gobbler came up...He told me from experience, and speaking with several dozen biologists that a LARGE number of hens DON'T lay eggs....but breed ALL season....I asked him WHY??? then do they breed, and his honest answer, which is hilarious is I JUST THINK THEY LIKE IT................thought you would enjoy this...its true, and funny.....keep it simple folks, there is only two or three reasons the gobbler wants to come to you, and the first one involves sex, or fighting for sex, or breaking up sex..............have a great season, and God Bless.......al

Not sure about turkey hens, but chicken hens already have eggs in there tract, they just need the rooster to fertilize. May stand to reason, turk hens have the same. Dunno for sure though

i thought they laid regardless, now if they were fertalized or not is totally different......did not even know this.....i love learning, better be true, lol.......

These hens in question never have eggs in their tract...they just go through the motions, and never ever sit to lay eggs, they are a turkey hunters worse nightmare....lol...........al
