    Default Sooooooooooooo close

    Hi guys:

    Turkey season opened on Monday here in Iowa. I finally went out yesterday with the bow. Set-up the double bull 360 at 4 in the afternoon along an alfalfa field on a nice 70 degree day. Took a nap and was awakened by a VERY LOUD CLUCKING hen. Later hens start to come in followed by a mature GOBBLER. At any one time I had 5 hens within 10 yards of the blind and three came to within 4 yards (how cool)!!! Do you think that the gobbler would come in....NO. The closest he came was 34 yards and my comfort zone with the bow is 25 yards or less. Got 28 minutes of some great video. Better luck next time.
