if a 3 inch load says 2 oz and a 3.5 inch load says 2 oz than what is the differents. i have tryed both for paterens and get the same resaults in both. what is your opinion? (NOT WHAT YOU SHOOT ) just the differents.

One word.
"Velocity"
A 3 1/2" shotshell tossing a 2 oz. payload is going to making around the 1300 fps mark. A 3" load throwing the same 2 oz. of shot will be down in the 1125 fps area. If they both give you nearly the same pattern density.........definitely opt for the 3 1/2" shell.![]()
I agree with strut.
I noticed today while looking at the Heavy shot that a 3 1/2", 1 3/4oz load shot at 1300fps and a 3', 1 1/2 shot the same.
I also noticed that the Heavy shot for waterfowl seems to be the same load as the ones for turkey. The reason I noticed this is the waterfowl loads were on clearance for $15. Both had the same specs on the box.
