Member here...can't think of too many other ways to spend that money. I know things are tight (it is for everyone), but between the NRA and NWTF...they are just like a bill I "have" to pay!

    NWTF and WU for me.

Not to hi-jack but here is a little more info for you......

I am on both local committees so I help run/organize the banquets, and I am co-chairperson of our WU so I am very involved with it.

They both are great organizations IMO.
I write the checks and help organize the way we spend our WU funds. Here are just a few things we do with the money we help 40+ disabled hunters an opportunity to hunt deer and turkeys, we give local 4h and FFA kids a chance to go to camps related to the outdoors, and this year we are developing about 15 + acres of food plots to help educate others on proper food plot management and give others just a place to go and view and enjoy the wonderful outdoors! There is several other things we do as well just those are the biggest things we do.

These are things that our LOCAL committee does, lots more gets done on a national level!

Its just a way to help support the sport we all love so much.....Or atleast that the way I feel.

I'm a member. I'm on the local banquet committee, have been for several years. This year we gave a couple of jakes hunts at the banquet. I took a 14 year old boy out on his 1st hunt. Showed him how to pattern his grandfather's Model 12. Let him learn to call on my Lynch 1 sider. We called in 4 gobblers----2 jakes & 2 longbeards. He shot one of the jakes @ 20 yards. He is from a single mom------the dad is long gone. Going to show him how to shot a rifle this summer.

It's a good outfit. But like everything the more time you put in---the bigger the reward you get back. CB

    I used to be.

A couple years ago money was more than tight and we decided to drop cable TV, magazine subscriptions, and yes I didn't renew my NWTF. I too have been thinking about renewing.

this was my first year in the NWTF and served on our chapter's banquet committee. I endorse the NWTF 100%, its a great way to meet other hunters. I have became close friends with a couple of them and they actually helped me harvest my first wild turkey this spring. For college students membership is only $10 and that includes the 6month subscription to Turkey Call, the magazine. Well worth my money! join the nwtf!
