where to put the diaphragm call

this is only my 3rd year turkey hunting. i have gotten pretty good on the slate and box call, but that darned diaphragm call. i guess part i want to know the most is where do you hold it in your mouth. at the back of the roof or middle or what. and do you press your tongue on the reeds or the rest of the diaphragm. i figured if i can learn proper placement the calling sounds would get a little easier.

i place mine more towards the front of the roof of my mouth and wedge in between the sides of my teeth and angle a little down. then i place my tongue right on the read. the pressure you apply will determine what kind of sound you will make.

I run mine well back on the roof of my mouth. I find that the farther forward I place the call, the more apt I am to control my air with my lips instead of my belly muscles. I usually tell people to "put the call 1/2 a gnat's eyelash in front of your gag reflex".
