I have yet to do the same to my 1300. I still have the fully rifled deer barrel on it from this past deer season. First thing I'll have to do is clean the 21" "turkey" barrel, then switch barrels. Our season doesn't start until May 1st here in NY, so come April, is when I usually pattern/clean my gun before the start of the turkey season on May 1st.

UPS just brought me the Comp-N-Choke XXX-Full tube today for my 1300. I got an NWTF 1300 a year ago and haven't fired it yet. But, now that the choke is here, the 1300 will be my test gun for the new Winchester Xtended Range turkey loads. I've had a box of them for a month and it's just been killing me to try them out!! I know all the other folks' 1300s I've patterned have done very well. I hope mine does the same.

Strut10, I know many people love the Remington 870's a lot, but I love this Winchester 1300 even more. One thing I like about the 1300's over the others, is that they come already drilled and tapped for scope mounting. Congrats on your new toy!!

I have no bad words for the 870, either. The Mrs. shoots one and it's a hammer. I would recommend an 870 to anyone. I guess time will tell if I would recommend the 1300 first.
