I have tested both the Remington factory turkey tubes and sold them both. An H.S. Undertaker for $20 at Wally World will out shoot the Remingtons. Generally speaking, the higher-end turkey tubes will give you a better pattern yet. I have found the Comp-N-Choke XXX-Full tube to be an outstanding performer in every gun I've ever tried it in. I would reccommend pairing the Comp-N-Choke tube with a box of 3 1/2" Winchester Supreme HV shells in #6 shot. That will get you a very good starting point. Good possibility it may be your end point, as well.

Strut you pinned the tail on the donkey with that one... I have shot a Jelly head all my life, but I shot a Comp-N-Choke bout 3 months ago and was very impressed.

With your message there, you won me over.

All your life? The Jellyhead has only been out a year or two. There has been a LOT of negative feedback about that choke tube, on this forum and some others. I shoot an Undertaker and have killed a lot of turkeys with it. Can't go wrong with one in my opinion. Never have shot a Comp-N-Choke myself, but every post I read about them seems to be very positive.

The Comp and Choke is definitly the best choke. As far as a load, I would go with the Federal Grand Slam 31/2.

i would recommend using the Comp-n-choke or the kicks choke (Gobbling Thunder). i wouold also call comp-n-choke and ask for Charlie Boswell and tell him what load you are going to be shooting and he'll tell you what choke he preferrs out of your gun. He has given a local out door shop cheat sheet and it works out alot. me i shoot the GObbling Thunder .655 and shoot Win HV #6. they are deadly!! so call up charlie at comp-n-choke and he'll hook up!!--- Jake

I agree with sportsman2500 here. Call comp-n-choke and tell give them your information on gun and shells and they will recommend a choke size.

    hastings .650
rebuffered federal grand slam 3in. 5 shot

from my past reloading experience these 3in versions will absolutely smoke the 3.5

sure the 3.5 have more pellets but cant put them in the ring

currently shooting roughly around 135 pellets in 12" circle at 40 yds.

Rebuffering can be quite effective if you know how and what to replace the factory stuff with.
