Default Any Pennsylvania Turkey Hunters Out There?

I just moved from Michigan to PA. Anyone have any luck with PA longbeards?

Good luck with them. If you have private land to hunt you should be ok. If you are on public though good luck. There are too many people who don't know what they are doing and have them well educated.

I kind of figured that . . . Any public land birds are going to be more challenging with the added pressure. I guess it will make me work that much harder. In PA you have to be out of the woods by noon for turkeys right?

    I've killed a few.

Public land birds are challenging.....but definitely not impossible. Best bet is to walk farther in than the other guy is willing to.

You have to be done hunting by noon in the spring. Out of the woods by 1:00.

Fall season is along regular hunting hours.

While scouting for Deer I've seen a lot of turkey sign as well as birds. I'm sure I will have to buy a turkey tag this fall and carry an extra arrow or two in the quiver!

There is a lot of public land in PA and the birds are there. Just a matter of putting your time in.

The fog slowly lifts, an owl hoots, and a longbeard gobbles from his roost....ahh...heavenly...

Thanks for the info man. Yeah your tag system is quite a bit different than Michigans.

They arent too awful bad if you do your homework. I have killed birds on both public and private land. As long as you do your scouting you will be fine! Best of luck!
