This will be my very first time at the Nashville, Convention. I've been to the one at Columbus, Ohio twice now, but I'm kind of pumped up for this one!!
I'll be down there with several of my friends for the whole show!! I've met Nut and Strut10 at Columbus last year.

Maytom.............There ain't even a comparison. If you're staying at Opryland, you are in for one fantastic weekend!! The Nashville show is the best there is and you're gonna have a big time. I guarantee it. You can't even begin to understand how bummed I am for having to cancel my reservations for this one.

Just got back from the convention about an hour ago and let me tell you...it was great! I had the opportunity to meet John Tate, Travis Turner, Micheal Waddell, and David Blanton. I'll post some pics once I get settled in.

You got that right...it was VERY VERY crowded!!!

What calls did you buy? I bought a 65th Anniversary Lynch boxcall and that's about it.

Oh man, hfb, I scored bigtime. Ended up winning the silent bid on one of Irving Whitt's boxes, a sassafrass and hard maple lid. He sells them close to 200 bucks and I got lucky getting out at 105.00. Lots so bucks, but worth it. Also, won Harold Perry's second place decorative wingbones in the decorative division. Got three beautiful wingbones (one with a turkey foot at the mouth portion) and a cow bell at the trumphet with a boy and father engraved on the bell. The other two were painted with a farm scene. All three were arranged on a cool stand with a medalion entitled "Pass it On". Thought it'd be cool to pass that one on to my son. Harold's yelpers go for 200.00 to 400.00 a piece on ebay and I got the whole shootin match for 300.00. Couldn't believe it. No one but me bid on the second place winner. When I picked it up, Mr. Perry, an old gent, and his wife were just standing there staring at it and couldn't believe my good fortune. Sure got lucky for sure. Won two of Tim Oldham's slate calls as well, also at a ridiculously low price. I believe those silent auctions are one of the best reasons to attend. I did loose one to a NC gent, everytime I bid, he threw another one down right above me. Got to 175.00 for a wingbone shaped and painted like a wild turkey. I let him have it but he was ticked at me for bumping the price up. Wish I was Daddy Warbucks, I would've threw down the buy it now bid if I'd known how cocky he was going to get after getting it.
Nevertheless, my pockets are empty but I got some cool and great sounding calls.
