    Default Removal of Camo Tape

What do you use to remove old camo tape from my 870? It's been on the gun for years so it's going to be sticky on the both the metal receiver & wood stock. Thanks, CB

Goo-gone works great but it does smell. I use it to remove wine bottle labels. Just use some windex to clean the gun when you are done and that will kill the smell.

Yea Goo-gone works really well. Just use something to clean the the remaining Goo-gone off the surface of your gun and also get rid of its smell.

I had the worst time ever getting it off mine one time....An SOS pad worked a little bit...tried acetone...De-Natured Alcohol, which I use to get the wrap sticky stuff off my arrows I think would work well...

It is a pain though so good luck! I had to scrub..

Never tried it on a gun but Easy Off Oven Cleaner works great on cutting through that kind of gunk.
Used to use it to erase old sticker advertising residue on the side of vans when the company wanted to re letter them.

Effortless. Spray it on, let it set, wipe it away with minimal elbow grease.

I have never had to take off camo tape but at work we use Ronsonol lighter fluid to take off anything sticky. It works pretty well.
