Default Mountain Bike + Turkey Hunting =

my first gobbler of the year! This is my first year using my mountain bike to turkey hunt. I welded a gun rack and turkey/cooler holder on the back. You can't even tell they're back there! If you are in decent shape, I highly recommend you give it a try!

That's a great way to cover ground in a hurry when you need too. You're not as restricted as I am using an electric cart.

That is a great idea with welding the gun rack on there. I tried biking into a far deer stand I had once and it was a real pain carrying my bow. It sure is a heck of a lot faster than walking.

Congrats on the bird!! Good way to get around quickly thats for sure, Great idea!

I almost got run over by a guy on a mountain bike one morning here in WI (it was not legal to ride where he was). I was walking down a fire lane on some state owned land, headed toward a roosted bird, in the predawn hours and heard a noise coming behind me, turned around in time to see a small head lamp coming at me...and I moved to the side of the road and he whizzed by me. Dont think he ever saw me!!!!

I was condsidering biking in to some of my way back public spots, but its illegal to use bikes on the state land.

My brother and I used to use bikes when hunting deer on state land out in western ny. I primary hunt where I grew up now and can get where I need to go pretty easily. It's a great idea though.
