    Default 22 Shorts

    I was wondering how a 22 short compares to 22 LR on squirrels.

    The .22 Short is fine for Squirrels, but make sure it is a hollow point. Also limit your shots to under 35 yards to insure a clean kill.

    .22 short is nice and quiet for suburban hunting. Sounds like a capgun.

    On coon sized game you'd be better off using a .22 LR Hollow Point, at close range.
