PLEASE FEED THE SQUIRRELS

I don't know about other areas of the country, but here in Southern Indiana, we had a VERY POOR Mast crop for the Squirrels going into Winter. I think that it would be a Humane effort if all us Squirrel Hunters, here in SW Indiana, would help the Squirrels by supplying some whole corn and other seeds for them to eat over the winter season. My experiences, in the past with low Mast supplies, has been a VERY POOR Squirrel Hunting, the following season. So spend some extra money and help the Squirrels out. PLEASE!

I feed the Squirrels and Deer about 50 pounds of shelled corn per week. More when the weather is extra bad like now. We have 20" of snow on the ground!

Yeha my dad has 3 barrels of corn stocked up and bird seed. We had about 100 out today. My father made paths from bird feeders to woods, so the tree rats would have a easy way in and out.

We had one of the largest mast year I can remember--tons of acorns and tons of pecans. I think my tree rats will be fine.

We had a very large crop of Mast last year (2003) but very little, if any, this year.

My grandpa puts out corn for the squirrels, rabbits, deer, etc during the winter. We're feedin 'em in Posey County. He also puts corn out in Vanderburgh county.
