Wow, thats not good. How many do you usually see on a hunt?

A few days back, me and dad went. Our springer jumped 3 rabbits, all during the first half hour(about 2 hours of hunting I think) We shot one.
Slugger, I think the dogs should have picked them up in the snow. Well, maybe it depends on how much snow you got. Should be easy tracking. Unless the snow was mostly melted and wet.
My dogs are pretty darn good and never give up, but today was bad. The most rabbits we get out of my place was 10. With only 3 dogs.
we started with around 20 in and it was melted down to about10 in so it was pretty wet and sloppy
Slugger.... you from Harrison County? I know some people there. I got some friends from South Central School.
rabbits seem to head for cover where there's little snow when you get a big snow.
we got a big snow 2 weeks ago and i didn't see any rabbits in the deep stuff, but under my pine trees, there were tracks all over.
Hit areas that are protected from the snow, maybe that will produce some.
Went yesterday and had about ten good races...every one of em headed for the slough and the dogs lost em in the water. Never fired a shot at a rabbit, but there is one less cottonmouth in that bottom.
