Thread: first kill

    Default first kill

    i took my 10 year old out this morning on his first small game hunt and was it a blast. he told me dad i have been waiting my whole life for this, all 10 years of it. yesterday i brought home a nice used stevens semi auto 22 for him and was he ever excited. this morning we headed to some state land not far from home to look for some squirrels. well we did not see any squirrels but we did see plenty of chipmunks. the first one we saw sat tight on a stump. my sons second shot was true to mark, right in the head. we hooted and hollered as if it were the biggest buck in the county. we now have the skin stretched and salted for drying so he can display it proudly on his wall.
