Squirrel Season in WV

Our Squirrel season opens Oct. 6th and I can't wait. I'm 25 years old and haven't squirrel hunted in years, I always use the time for scouting for deer season. This year, however, me and a few friends are going squirrel hunting, and I"m really looking forward to it. I'm going to be taking my .22 auto pistol with me, that should make for some tough shots! I can't wait, will definitely get some pictures.

good luck i havent hunted them in years i love to but know anyone who will eat them there are some monster reds on my farm

Yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to trying with a pistol. We'll see. I'll be hunting in Cabell County Saturday. My grandmother used to make me squirrel gravy with the squirrels I got when I was a kid, I will try to make some of that with these, but I already know that it won't be nearly as good as hers. She had a way in the kitchen!
