Default Some Questions About Squirrel Hunting

Hey all, I have some questions about squirrel hunting and it would be great if some of you could give me some answers.

First, do you have to buy tags for hunting squirrels? How much do they usually cost?

Two, Do most of you guys use pellet guns to shoot 'em?

Three, how do you clean squirrels really well?

Four, have you ever mounted a squirrel? If so, how did it turn out?(Please post pictures if you can!)

Thanks for all of your help! I appreciate it!

Howdy Sarah... seems to me similar questions were posted recently; then again, I may be mistaken.

    1. I've never heard of a state requiring "squirrel tags" assuming you mean the same thing as a turkey or deer tag. Small game license - obviously, but no tags.

    2. Pellet guns - I don't know of anyone who regularly uses a pellet gun to hunt squirrels. However, it would pose a interesting challenge. Most use a small calibur rifle or a shotgun generally .410, 20g or, 12g. Is a matter of personal preference.

    3. Can you clean a squirrel really well?! LOL There was a video posted on You Tube that demonstrated one of the many ways to clean a squirrel. I'll see if I can find it. Aside from that I'll leave that narration to another party.

    4. Nope, never had a squirrel mounted.

    Hope that helps...
