Well, I'm sure there are better guns out there, but as far as guns that I own go, I love my Ruger Red Label 20 ga. From the first time that I shot it, it feels like an extension of my body. I don't have to concentrate on aiming. I just shoulder it, squeeze the trigger, and the bird's dead. Most comfortable gun I've ever owned.

I used to have a set of red labels..12/20/28 there Awsome guns. I still have the 20 and 28.

That said i carry this baby for EVERYTHING it kills pheasants all the time...and its what I shoot in my skeet league

    Browning

This is the gun ...a little money down but the thing will out live you two times

A couple of good entry level o/u guns are the Browning Citori and the Beretta line. Both guns should last quite a while before needing a trip to the gunsmith. De Haan shotguns are good quality and reasonably priced. SKB is another moderately priced but decent quality gun.

If you would like to look at some of the higher end stuff check these out:

    Krieghoff
    Kolar
    Perazzi
    Silver Seitz
    Ljutic

Hmm, Beretta is entry level, I'm bummed. I bought a Beretta o/u 20 ga. last fall. It is a 686 Covey Quail unlimited. I really like it. I can stuff 3" in it for pheasants if neccessary, and anything else for clay birds.

If you keep shooting that Beretta you will. LOL

Beretta guns are good. You can get a DT10 which is an upper tier gun. Its still not quite a top shelf gun, but its getting there.

A guy at my club has a custom Beretta that is pretty sweeet! He probably has the same amount of $ in the gun as one of the K-80, MX2000, etc guns.

I'm just kidding around , I know you can spend a ton of $$ for some REALLY nice o/u's. Mine is defintely an upper for me I won't pound the shells through it like some of you would. I might meet Smith someday though
