Hey Squirrel I'm checking in. When does your season start. Also what kind of turkey hunting experience do you have?
I've been hunting turkeys for 3 seasons. First year was a bust. Second year I got a jake. Last year I shot two nice toms. Season starts here April 25th. Can't wait for some team members to start knocking down some birds.

Here in NY they have a Special Youth Turkey Hunt on April 23rd and 24th. That is the weekend before the opener. The actual season opens on May 1st. Last year was my first year. In the Spring, me and my dad kicked up a jake on our way back down the mountain that our property butts up against. I couldn't get a shot off fast enough. It ran and then took off. Then again in the fall, we had 4 hens run away from us. My dad fired a shot off but he missed. Thats about it.

I'm reporting in here from Georgia. . . i'll be starting it off on March 12th in South Florida, starts the 26th of March here in Ga. Look forward to winning this thing w/ yall so lets get on our birds!! LoL I'm sure this year will be no exception, we've had a great time every year. So gentlemen, start your diaphrams!

Oh yeah for experience, i've got a little bit! hehe You think someone could draw me a picture of a turkey so that i'm sure to shoot the right thing? jkjkjk I've been beyond obsessed for many seasons now. . . . limited the last 4, but i dont really get caught up in numbers.

Sorry I haven't checked in before now. Youth season is April 9 & 10, regular season April 18-May 8. Going to try to get my daughter and two nieces turkeys.
Last year was my first year and I got one but should have had two. The first gobbler (actually a pair came together) I called in was a nice big one but I got so nervous I couldn't even get a shot off. The one I ended up getting had a nice beard but kinda short spurs.

Oh and for names, The Big Chicken Chasers and Teem Gobble Gobble Bang are funny. Trophy Turkey Takers sounds good if you want a more serious name. I don't really have any suggestions, just picking from what you guys have up already.
