I saw 15 Jakes and Toms all struting in one area yesterday morning. I bet I sat there for a good hour just watching them fight and strut around each other.
It was pretty awesome.

I am getting pretty pumped and am ready to go.

Hey guys! Just found this thread, never thought to look under deer contest . I live in TN and our season starts the 2nd of April. I took a nice gobbler last year on the 4th day of the season. Hopefully luck will be on our side.
As far as team names, how bout Team Cutt~N~Run or something to that effect. How bout Xtra Longbeards?

Best so far for me is either Team Griz or Team Cutt N Run. Hey Nubs, we oughta get together one year and do some swap hunts. Especially since you could hunt down here before your season opens.

Sounds like a plan Redbeard. Looks like Cutt-N-Run has it, sounds good. We did alittle patterning today with my hunting buddies new Mossberg, we didn't get exactly what we wanted, but not bad at all though.

Good deal then. Yep, I was going to pattern yesterday but the wind was up to 19 mph so I decided I'd wait. Bought some targets, might go today or next weekend. Got two new guns I'm going pattern, a 10 gauge double blackpowder and a .410 double. Can't wait to see what that double triggered .410 will do. I pull both if I have too
