OK Andrea, I want to get down to 210! No time limit and once I get there, I want to hold at that weight! It means I have to drop about 30 pounds!

I have dropped 55 pounds from my high point, but since I was on vacation and the holidays, I have gained some of it back!

Time to get back in the drop mode again!

I'll jump in with you Andrea.

My bank is doing a "Biggest Loser's" team contest. Our team weighed in on Monday at 1359 lbs(we weighed on a lumber scale at a local business).

We're also having an individual contest where the one with the highest percentage lost wins $100.

I weighed in at 239.6 lbs on Monday.

My schedule is to concentrate on changing my diet this week and see how much I can drop with that alone. I have cut out cokes completely.

Next week, I'll start the exercise regime. I don't want to shock my body by dieting and exercising in the same week.

I'll try to keep everyone updated with both our team and my personal progress. I'm hoping to lose 30 lbs in 3 months.

    Good luck!

Not looking to really lose a lot here, but do need to lose the gut. A loss of 15 lbs or so would have me back to a comfortable weight, and that should be attainable by the end of February. With the holidays, have been up to 200 lbs and probably over 200 lbs a few times the past few weeks, heaviest I have ever been. Weight was 198 this morning, would like to get down between 180 and 185.

Recently cut out drinks with any sugar aside from my coffee in the mornings, got to cut out some of the snacks too. Not planning on changing any meals just yet.

    Good luck everyone.

My goal is to get my wife off my back saying I'm fat.
I am 208lbs with a gut. 180 is my fightin' weight. I am looking to get back to that.
Egg whites and turkey on a wrap for breakfast.
    See I'm starting already
Gonna look at your soup diet.

What is the grouch factor on that diet Andrea?

    OK, I'm in.

Weighed in at 256 with clothes on at the doc the other day, 253 on my home scale so let's split the difference and say 254.5.

    Things I'm doing:

1.--Back to exercise 5 times a week. Kind of fell off there with the activities of the fall and hunting.

2.--8 servings of fruits and vegetables a day.

3.--Crazy as it sounds, no beef or pork for a year. Venison is OK because of it's low fat content.

I need to lose weight, but more importantly I need to bring the BP and cholesterol down without using drugs.
Don't cry because it's over, smile because you were there.

This is lookin good so far.............hope we can all help each other out. The grouch factor with my diet is pretty high the first 2 or 3 days. So pray for my family and friends.................lol. They say if you make it thru the first 7 days then you feel like a new person and it gets really easy from there.

    You win.

Sorry Kev, you can't leave it that wide open though bud. I was surprised to see Chris hadn't jumped all over that already.

I'll join in as well. I'm probably around 198-200 right now. I think I'd like to be around 185 lbs. Tis the season to start preparing for some springtime races so it's a great time to start.

    Good luck everyone!

btw- limiting portion size is really important IMO. The way I achieve that is to use a small plate for your meals. Just fill that up and once it's empty...it stays empty...no seconds.

That's a great way to sort of visually make sure you're not over eating with large portions.

That is a great tip...BTW it's often used in restaurants to make the portion size look alot bigger than it actually is
