Aug. 7th- This was a saturday and i headed out for the Ranch. When i got there i saw a flock of about 20 Turkeys, so i glassed at them a there were two nice birds in the flock. I drove on in to camp checked it out and then headed for the woods. I noticed a lot of deer activity. There were all kinds of trails. I guess from it not being so hot. I went ahead and hung a stand at this site. Thats it so far.

Aug. 15th Sunday- I went out and put some mineral lick at the site above. I also hung two other stands for different wind scernios. There are trials going every which way. I havnt seen activity like this in a while. Im pumped. I went over to another spot i hunt and the same thing there. I hung 6 stand total that day. I seen two small rubs, which is kinda early but i guess not inpossible.

Went out Sunday, Aug.22!!! Had pretty good day. I hung out in a wheat field and watched all day, from about 4pm till dark. I saw 14 does and 3 smaller bucks, i saw 22 turkeys all this in the same field. In this field last year saw a big 14 pointer but no luck, maybe this year will be the year.

Aug.29th, i went out to the ranch, not you scout but do some work. I was out brush hoggin some roads to drive on for hunting season. While i was out i kicked up a nice buck. He looked like 4 on the left and 5 on the right. I know where he beds now. I sure hope maybe get my hands on this one. Anyway, i saw a bunch of turkeys, and a few does. so anyway thats my scouting report for now!!!!

Well the other day, i went out to some public land. This is some land i can hunt right after work. Which im looking forward to!!!! I went out and found the creek, I then walked up it and found a pretty hot spot, where the deer are crossing. Im really looking forward to this. It looks like a sweet spot. When i started to find more sign. It started raining really hard!!!! Any way i cant wait till Oct 1st!!!!

Well this sunday I will be headed out to the ranch. Ill be checking my stand locations,, Putting out ome more buck grub. Im getting pumped it almost here. Hopefull yill be sitting in my blind sunday night, just wacthing what comes into the field. Im ready to check it out. Mabye some pics and video!!!!

Well I went out last sunday. Doing some work at the ranch. Doing some final touchups on shooting lanes and such. Walking in to my hot spot, walked up on a doe about 5 ft from my tree. Anyway she didnt spook just walked away. Anyway Im so pumped. my season is almost here!!!!

Well my weekend started off great. I was able to leave work on Friday about 10:30, I got all my stuff in the back of the truck and headed to my Deer camp. I got there my friend had already got the fire pit dug out and stuff. I was pumped. I unloaded all my stuff and shot the bow for a bit with the friends. I then took myself a shower (Scent a way soap and a jug of water). Put on some shorts and a cutt off shirt that was washed in scent a way soap. Got in my truck and off to the woods. I got where i park the truck and got my clothes on. Hiked up to you treestand. Climbed up and then got any sweat on me off. Then put on my shirt, and sprayed myself with earthscent scent away. Got everything ready and sat there! I looked at the watch it was 3:26. Sitting there enjoying the evening, decided i need to pee. Before i get up I alway scan the woods. ALWAYS!!!! I get up and turn and start peeing in a bottle (for sale by the way ). I screw the cap back on and I hear a deer blowing at me. I turn around and a 3 big does stand about 25-30 yards out. I was like NO WAY. So i turned and got settled back down. Through out the night i saw 6 more does, walking by just outta range.

OCT 2. Saturday morning i set up in a differeent location, I was sitting there and just as you could start to see i saw 5 does come walking towards me and again they passed outta range. Everything i saw passed outta range.

Saturday Night- I was up in my stand and it was getting dark and i notcied some moveement. I stood up and started looking slowly, Here come 2 does. I got the bow ready and release clipped on. She clears a tree and i told myself next clearing im gonna take a shot. She gets behind the tree, and i pull back. She steps out and i let it fly. And I hear a thawk. I get all excited. I wait a while and cljmb down. I get the flash light and head that way. Well i get over there. No Arrow (im thinking its still in the deer), I start looking for blood, No Blood. So i go back to my tree and look to see where the deer was and i walk back over there and find my arrow. NO LUCK, NO BLOOD. Ole well i missed it happens to everyone. I get back to the truck and head to deer camp. We had some good ole vension steaks that night Yummy!!!!

Saturdya night we had a 3/4 moon So on sunday morning i decided to sleep in and head to the woods at about 9am. I got to the stand and not 20 min later here come the deer. I saw about 13 deer in stand that morning, but no luck. They just seemed to know i was there and walked outta range. So im gonna hunt it one more time and then ill move my stand. But over all i had a great weekend. Seen tons of deer!!!! Just didnt connect!

Well this weekendd was opening weekend for BlackPowder season! Had a pretty good weekend! Opening morning i had a doe in the field, a pretty good ways off! She walked into the tree line! A lil while later i had a buck come into the field! Decent buck! I was downwind of the doe and started walking right to where she was! I started grunting at him! He stopped and then walked and then i grunted again! He then took off running straight at me! I passed on him! Click Here for video footage!

Then saturday night i didnt see anything! Just sat there bored all day!

Then Sunday Morning i was sitting there and at about 7:30 i had a monster come out! He was out at about 400+plus yards! I grunted, nothing, i used the can, nothing! I dont htink he could here me! I watched him make a rub, and he had his head up in the air! Then i was like what the heck nothing else worked so i rattled some! He stopped right there! But didnt come!!!! I rattled again and nothing again! LIL bit of the footage!

About 30 min after the big buck had left the field this lil guy come running out in the field! LIL guy!

Monday the 25th! I went out and shoot the blackpowder!! I have been havin problems with it!! BUt i think i may have them fixed!! I went and bought new blackpowder and i think that has fixed it!!!! I SURE HOPE SO!

Well guys i had a pretty good week for Blackpowder season! My season started of seeing 3 bucks and one doe! Including that big buck I showed you guys video on! Also the one i grunted into me and i passed on him! Well Opening weekend was just great but no Harvest!

The second weekend i get there and i jump a doe and thats about it! Saturday morning My friend and I were hunting together! Didnt see anything so at about 9:30 decided to leave and move around some! I got to this one field (hayfield) and saw a doe! I circled around and after doing so she offered me a 100 yard shot! Dropped her in her tracks! She was a decent doe for oklahoma weighing in at 85 lbs!



I gutted her and checked her in, then took to to be processed!! While there i picked up the buck i shad shot with my bow! Nice 7 pointer which is being mounted right now Long story about not posting pics!

After that hunt and took care of her! We listened to the OU/OSU game! That game was a dang good game!

We headed to the field again! It started getting late and i moved locations! My friend and I sat up on a Pond dam! We sat there for a while! And then i decided to crack the horns together and grunt some. So after doing that about 15 min later i saw a buck! 1st deer i have EVER rattled in. So you know it i didnt care the size, i shot him! Just knowing that he camein due the the fact i called him in! I had to take him! So he dropped in his tracks! I went to him and he was a 7 pointer! Nothing big and i have been holding off on small deer but this on was special! I passed on a buck bigger then him the weekend before! He just meant something to me!



After checking him in he weighed in at 96 lbs! I was so pumped after i shot him! Just couldnt believe it! THis weekend was a dang good one for me! Enought though i took a smaller buck he huge in my books just cause i rattled him in! After all that i went back to the city and went out for Spooky night! Went to City Walk (a club) and had a great time!

Sunday Nov. 7th, I was hunting on a friends place! I hung a stand over 5 scrapes and hunted there that evening! I didnt see a thing till last touch of light! I was a good buck! Looked to be a 10 Point! Was not quite sure! He gets within 10 yards and i draw back! By this time It was to dark to see threw my peep sight! So i had to let down and just watch what i could! DARN THE LUCK! Ole well! Maybe Next time!

I headed out to Northern OKlahoma 4 miles south of Kansas! Saturday morning i had a doe and a GOOD 8 point come out! They were out at about 250-300 yards! They were starting to head away from me! So I knew i could make that shot! I practice at that distance and knew i could do it! So I get steady and slowly sqeeze the trigger! BOOM He takes off running! Wait a bit and go look for blood! Nothing Do Huge circles nothing! Watch the video and see the bullet hit just low of the deer! NO HIT! Then later that evening I passed on a decent 7 Point! Saw tons of deer! I had this doe come in at about 100 yards and it was getting dark so I Let her have it! BOOM and she was down! She weighed in at 110LBS! No bad for an okie DOE!
