    Default first ever red fox

i have been setting traps for a few years but never that seriously. I have caught a few big coon and opossum but never anything else.
    Finally my streak is over.

Congrats on your catch. But does the fox have mange? It's hide looks terrible. If it has mange you need to dispose of it, and don't touch it with your bare hands.

he did not have mange, he was covered in mud and i hosed him off. that is just where the fur is not dry yet and it is laying on his skin instead of being puffy.

I was thinking mange also (at first glance), but if you hosed him off, that would explain the mangey appearance... congrats on your first fox.
