It's a old 243 from Winchester, I dont know what the model is off the top of my head. Has a Bushnell SharpShooter Scope! Good lookin gun, just wondering if a 243 will down a Yote without a lot of fur damage.

A .243 is a great varmint caliber. Damage to the pelt can be minimized with the right grain bullet. Hollowpoints and ballistic tips work great because they expand quickly, there for you may not even get an exit hole. Slower expanding bullets are also great because they do not have time to expand fully to do alot of damage. Fur damage has a lot to do with shot placement also. If you hit bone you will get bone fragments that will cause damage.
.243 will be fine...for sure.
