    Default How effective

    How effective would number 4 shot turkey loads be on coyotes at very close range, say about 30 yards out? Rifle in this particular spot is not really a good option. Buckshot is not legal here.

    I would think on a frontal or broadside shot, it would put a hurt on them. I know I shot one last year at 12 steps, using 3" #6's, he dropped in his tracks.
