Basic equipment. You really don't need much to get started. Here are a few things you will need.

Rifle or shotgun
Full camo. Head to toe
Cover sent (coon urine, fox urine or skunk sent)
A few calls (rabbit distress cottontail and/or jackrabbit, mouse squeaker.
You may want a seat pad to sit on.

Try and keep the wind in your favor and the sun at your back.

Good luck.

Alberta you did very well then!! I to have called in coyotes with my orange but have had lots come over the hill see the color and they are off like a bullet!! With the scent, if a person works the wind perfectly and they come in from the direction you want them to there is no need, but then the other 75% that sneek downwind and smell you you will just educate!!I try to work it so they have to come in with the wind or else come into a open field before they get downwind of me, thsi way you will get a shot before they wind you, if I cannot do this I use skunk pee as a coverup!
I say Camo and cover up is not a total nessesaty but will really increase your daily yotes in the truck!!Most of all will help so there are not as many educated ones out there yipping warning others the next time you call!!I had a pair wind me today I was calling a big revine and looked behind and 2 were coming in across a wheat field, they winded me at 1/4 mile and was gone instantly, with my skunk pee I prob would of had the upper hand!!

I use .223 with factory american eagle with 55 gr hp, love them shoot graet groups and are perfect low damage bullets out to 300 yards!! I bought this .223 since my lasst post here last year lOL, I got it instead of the 22-250 and am glad, less damage and cheaper to shoot!
