Working on Motion Decoys!

I've got the bug bad this year. I do get decent motion from my decoys but really want them to come alive. Im working on motion decoys for this season.

If you check the prices at places like Bass Pro... ouch. Ergo, im working up a remote duck and a bilge pump duck. Anyone else put these together? I have my own ideas that kind of break the norm but we will see how it works out....

Who else has built their own motion decoys and how did it work out for you?

We can not use any electonics here.
Folks use a ton of spinners here, but they are all pull string controlled. I dont use one and kill plenty of ducks. I use a jerk cord a ton. I pull the cord and hold it back under pressure until the ducks are over head, let it go and they dekes 'swim' away from me opening up a nice hole for the real ducks to land it. Boom, dead.
I also use keel less that the bottom is recessed creating an air pocket under them. With a tiniest breeze from a fart, they dance all over the water. Plenty of motion.
If we could use electronics here, the only thing I would buy would be a remote control decoy, like a remote control boat. I would use that to just pass the time driving around and racing my hunting buddies.

Im making a remote decoy.... They are $100.00 at BP. im taking an old decoy, carving out the bottom, and then buying a cheap $15 remote boat to move it around. It should work just as good after looking at the BP boats.

Im also using a bilge pump to kick water up around a feeder decoy... I like Jerk lines and have one but figured this would only add a little more life to the spread.

For me I feel that things like that are way to gimmickie. Not a fan. But if it works for you go it.

I have made bilge pump feeder decoys.They work great!I use a auotmotive flasher to make the butt bob.It is great when there is no movement on the water.I got the stuff to build 2 more.This year i'll have 3 feeder pump decoys,2 remote baby mojos and 2 bluebill floaters.The bulebill floaters are on sale at macks for $75.

I ordered the stuff to make a bilge feeder yesterday.... should have it all in a week to get started! WAY cheaper than buying one.
