    Default Bustin Ice!

This is what it is all about. We are having some clear nights for the next couple of days. That means lower temperatures and the duck hunting is going to pick up.

Creeks, rivers and lake eddy's keep water open in certain spots and make for some unbelieveable duck hunting. I remember last year I busted ice for about 1/2 hour in the dark and only got a hole in the ice about 10 ft across. But it was worth it.

So hopefully the next couple days will see some below zero weather and the ducks will be forced to move to certain spots. Most people are putting their shotguns away this time. Little do they know what they are missing.

Thats what makes us waterfowlers. . . we get to to go through all that work just for the sight of locked wings and webbed feet! We still get the ice down here in the south but i'm sure it's not as bad as you northern boys!
