My new hunting partner for next year!

We picked up our new family addition Friday night. She comes from a long line of excellent hunters down both sides. We got pick of the litter.

I lost the name battle. My girls named her Sunshine. I call her Sunny.

Now the work begins.

Ahhhhhh, she's even got her own pillow already!

Working with dogs is awesome. I really enjoy it and I hope you have many days of frusturating training with her.

Its so worth it in the end!!!!

Pup must be about 7 weeks old eh?

We are waiting on a litter for a second dog. I lost the name contest too. I wanted "Boss" but I got "Mila"(pronounced Meela). It will work.

Thats awesome, some of the best mornings i can remember were just me and my dog, that i probably wouldnt have gone anyways w/out a partner but just couldnt stand going back to sleep after seeing that sparkle in his eye.

Beautiful pup Derek. My black lab just turned 9 months old on Nov 9th and I'm so looking forward to taking her duck hunting in December. She went dove hunting with me when she was just over 7 months old and picked up all but 2 birds. Training can be fun and it can be very frustrating but just remember to be consistant and work with her every day.
