    Default The Mallards were....

flying today. I had ducks trying to land on me while putting out the decoys--I knew it was going to be a great day. Started shooting at 7am and had my limit of mallards by 7:15. Three drakes and two hens. Unfortunately I lost one of the drakes. I don't know where that boy went. I knocked it down and then gave it a finishing shot on the water--he dove--and I swear he never came back up. I walked around the pond (about 3 acres) twice and just couldn't find him. I could have shot another one but decided not too. I also had several woodies come into the decoys but didn't want to shoot them--I enjoy watching the woodies.

    good hunting

Do you hunt by yourself doggy? Looks like that would be some fun!! I really need to get out and try some duck hunting. It's just too bad deer season and duck season are at the same time!!!

I am so jeaulous. Congrats man! I never tied into any really good duck action this year.

We had so much water they were all over and I didn't have time to properly scout.

Have at em man! I left most of them alone this year!!!!
