US Bank For Bird Dogs
Saint Paul, Minnesota - Longtime corporate supporter U.S. Bank has made a $5,000 donation to Pheasant Forever's Bird Dogs for Habitat Campaign. By pledging to the year-end fundraising campaign, U.S. Bank joins fellow hunting dog enthusiasts in support of Pheasants Forever's push to strengthen the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP).
Launched last week, Pheasants Forever's Bird Dogs for Habitat Campaign aims to raise $25,000 by December 31, 2010. An anonymous donor has pledged a matching grant of $25,000 to the campaign effort, so each $1 donation is equal to $2. U.S. Bank has, in effect, created $10,000 worth of funding for Pheasants Forever's wildlife habitat conservation efforts. All donations will be used by Pheasants Forever to fight for improvements to the 32-million acre CRP, which provides wildlife friendly habitat nationwide.
Donations to Pheasants Forever's Bird Dogs for Habitat Campaign are accepted through online credit card payments placed in support of 25 different breeds of bird dogs - one for each year CRP has existed. Each $1 donated is equal to one vote for that bird dog breed. U.S. Bank, which has helped sustain Pheasants Forever's conservation efforts through thePheasants Forever Visa Card program, has voted $200 on each and every bird dog breed in the friendly fundraising competition.
"As a bank, we know something about making a dollar go a long way, and so does Pheasants Forever," said Lori Mehlhorn, U.S. Bank Relationship Manager, "We also know how passionate hunters and conservationists are about their bird dogs, which is why we've unveiled new Pheasants Forever Visa Card art with a young boy holding his bird dog pup. The new card design and this unique campaign seem to be the perfect match."
Cardholders who use their Pheasants Forever Visa Cards to donate online to the Bird Dogs for Habitat Campaign are multiplying their support of "The Habitat Organization," as all Pheasants Forever Visa Credit Card purchases give a percentage of every net purchase back to Pheasants Forever.
