Lynn Frady
Growing up in teh mountains of Western North Carolina, embedded a true appreciation for the outdoors in me. Thanks to my Dad, he understood that my place was in the woods and the water beside him and my brother learning all that nature had to offer. Hunting skills, scouting for deer, fishing for trout, and learning how to walk in the woods quietly was a few of the lessons he taught me. Thanks to Dad, I have a passion for sharing the outdoors with others. Teaching archery, hunting skills and conservation to women and children has become the mission of Team Frady Outdoor Adventures, the company Jim and I started in 1993. We teach thousands of people each year in our programs, events, and camps. We have been teaching archery for our state BOW (Becoming an Outdoors Woman) program for 11 years. We have also taught the Women in the Outdoors programs for the NWTF. In our summer camp and school programs, we teach between 3000-6000 boys and girls each year.
I am married to Jim who is my best friend, hunting buddy adn my archery coach. We have daughter, Leah , AKA "Bud", hwo has been actively teaching in our programs since she was 9 years old. She started shooting a bow when she was 4 years old. She is now an ecology/biology major in college. We believe that sharing our hunting and outdoor knowledge with others is the only way to preserve our hunting and shooting sport heritage.
I am an outdoor writer adn photographer. I am a featured writer for National Bowhunter Magazine and also write for Bowhunting.net and have been published in several outdoor magazines and websites. I own and operate Super Dog Obedience and Gun Dog Training. I have been teaching people how to train their dogs for 29 y ears so they can be a successful team in the obedience ring and most importantly in the field. Thanks to our sponsor, we are able to continue to grow our programs. We feel that it is our duty as hunters to educate the public on the importance of hunting and conservation. We feel that if we can change the mindset of one person who is against hunting they will in turn do the same.
