I’M GONNA BE A DANCING STAR! . . . SERIOUSLY
But before all these images start popping into your head and you lose your appetite, you should know that when I was in high school I could wear out a dance floor! Especially when Peaches and Herb’s “Shake Your Groove Thing” started up!
Haha! Okay, so everybody reading this does not remember that song. That’s beside the point.
You never thought there would be a day when I would be letting everyone know that I am going “shake it” in front of a big crowd of people.
The BEST news is that it’s for a great cause!
I’m talking about the “Dancing Stars of Columbus Gala” to be held Friday, May 6 and the money raised will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.
Over 5 million Americans have Alzheimer’s and someone is diagnosed in the U.S. every 70 seconds. So, it’s an honor to be a part of this very worthy cause.
Here’s the good news: 1. I will have a PRO dance partner (female preferably) who I will begin practicing with in a few weeks! 2. We can pick our own music! And you can bet it’s NOT going to be for the Foxtrot. 3. You will be able to keep up via video how we are doing! 4. We’re gonna raise money for this cause!
You can go to www.dancingstarsofcolumbus.com and on the left side of the page you can click on “vote for David Blanton” and you can donate as little as $5.00.
I want to raise more money than any other participant!
This is going to be a blast!
After all, who knows . . . if this hunting thing doesn’t work out . . .
