I can’t wait for July every year because that’s when the new “never seen before” episodes start airing for almost all hunting shows on television! So I want to let you know that after several years of airing on ESPN2, Realtree Outdoors will begin airing on The Outdoor Channel starting in July. This past January, ESPN2 announced it would no longer air weekly hunting or fishing shows. I’ll be curious to see what they air during their Sunday morning block. Although we are still waiting on confirmation on the exact date it will premier, we do know the show will air every Tuesday at 9:30 AM, Thursday at 9:00 PM, and Friday at 4:30 PM, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to see it each week and throughout the season.
By the way, this new season of Realtree Outdoors will be the strongest lineup of hunting shows we’ve ever produced. EVERY episode covers either elk hunting or deer hunting! Great Stuff!
Also airing on The Outdoor Channel and beginning in July, is our all new show called Realtree’s Nascar Outdoors, which in one of it’s coolest episodes covers Dale Earnhardt Jr. killing a Monster whitetail buck on the Milk River in Montana . . . and he does it from the ground! It’s really good stuff!
So be sure to mark your calendars and look for updates here on Realtree.com or on our Realtree Outdoors Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/RealtreeOutdoors.
Meanwhile, we’ll see you on Outdoor Channel!
I finally did it. I went to a NASCAR race! While at lunch with Bill Jordan last Thursday, the topic of the All-Star Race in Charlotte Saturday night came up, and Bill suggested that I go with him!
Knowing that I have not been to a race since the late Dale Earnhardt was killed, Bill urged on, saying, “Come on! You’ll have fun!” So Bill, Tyler, Johnny Carter (a friend of Tyler) and myself flew up to Charlotte Saturday afternoon. It was kind of a special occasion since Realtree was one of the primary sponsors on Kevin Harvick’s #29 Chevrolet for the race!
I really enjoyed the evening. I got to see several friends that I hadn’t seen in many years, including Danny Lawrence, the chief engine builder for Richard Childress Racing. Obviously, the conversation centered around hunting and how the past season went!
Unfortunately, Harvick’s car was not very strong and didn't make it to the front of the pack. But I have to say that I really enjoyed being back at a race. My favorite thing was watching people on pit road. That in itself is incredibly entertaining!
