Bill Jordan's HUGE Bull Elk in Arizona

Published by David Blanton  |  August 4, 2011

It is argued that the two hardest animals to qualify for Boone & Crockett is the Black Bear which needs to have a net skull measurement of 22”. That is unbelievably big! And a bull elk, which, for the typical category, requires a net measurement of 377”! That’s crazy!!

Well, the Realtree Outdoors episode that is airing currently on Outdoor Channel is with Bill hunting elk in Arizona and he kills a bull that grosses 391” and nets 382”!!! He is an absolutely monster!

And the footage that cameraman Stephen McNelly got of the hunt is incredible!

So check out Realtree Outdoors this week!

Bill’s weapon of choice on this “hunt of a lifetime” is the Thompson Center Icon bolt action rifle. And the caliber he used was .300 Win Mag.

“To kill such a giant bull was one of the highlights of my entire hunting career!” Bill states.

Well, it should be. But you know what? Bill is going back to the White Mountain Apache Reservation again this year, so who knows? It’s very possible he could top that.
