      Spotted this huge Sonora Texas Axis buck feeding in a draw with his doe. This shot was roughly 300 yards away and really doesn't do his size justice. After witnessing this scene he earned the immediate nickname "Big Daddy Smerk." We are thinking he's roughly 37 - 39 inches tall. World record is 40 inches on only one beam. Big Daddy Smerk is close..very close and is running wild and free on this low fence ranch in West Texas. I hope my hunting partner Drake can seal the deal with his Hoyt
