Wow, when I say the word “blog” I feel like I should say excuse me…like it was something that ol’ T-Bone would do on a regular basis. Actually, I wondered where the name blog came from, so I did a little research and found out that it’s just like a journal, except it’s on this here Internet. Just click that reddish word and it will take you to where you can read the definition.
Anyhow, this is my blog and I am excited cause this is new territory for me. As Mr. Blanton has said on his blog, "The talented folks at Realtree make this [blog] and all of us look good." I like to refer to that as turd polishing. With their help, we will see all kinds of stuff in the future and we will welcome comments, as long as they are done with some taste. Heck, we’re just going to have a good time with this thing. But don’t get me wrong, we are going to learn some serious stuff on archery, but we’re going to do it in a laughing matter when at all possible.
We’re going to cover archery tech tips, bowhunting tips, reader questions (especially welcome), funny stories from on the road and at the shop, pictures and video clips, and I’ll even share personal info on what’s going on with the Turners (that would be my family.).
And speaking of family, May is going to be a busy month for us Turners’. I’m in the middle of four back-to-back-to-back trips, rebuilding our lake, and in the please-get-here-now stage of breaking ground on our new house. Yes, I said NEW HOUSE. I know, everyone thinks that T-Bone lives in a small Graceland (hahaha), but it’s time to get honest with ya'll. I will give you the dimensions and you guess what the Turner's live in...14 x 80 with four axles under it. What do you think it is? You know you are redneck when your vehicle is worth almost twice what your house is worth.
But the time is here, and with our lil’ boy’s birth two years ago, my wife, Michelle, and I are ready for the new house. There is so much that goes into it and it takes a lot of time lining everything up, so I will keep ya'll posted.
Changing subjects, Waddell and I are going on a hog hunt with the folks with G5 broadheads in a few days, so I’m pumped about that. Stay tuned for the results of the hunt and the adventures that we are going to cover right here!

When asked if this'll be fun, I ask if a one legged duck swims in circles. I can't wait to hear what goes on at ya'lls campfire and cave dwellin's. My little girl's birthday is in July and before we knew he was a she, I tried like crazy to convince my wife of the boy's name Nicholas Archer Shaw. You inspired me but not my wife. Happy birthday to little Archer and lookin great since your surgery! Now let's have some fun.
