Well, it's that time of year when all the bow manufacturers are bringing out there new models, and it seems like every year I say, "Well, what more can they add to some already awesome technology?" But, in true fashion, they come out with models that surpass last year's technology. Things that so many people look for: faster, lighter, smoother quieter, more forgiving and dependable. They have all been addressed, and we will see so much more after the ATA show (Archery Trade Association), at the first of Jan.
So, this is the homework assignment for all you Bow Guru’s. Look at the bow companies websites and let us know the bows ya’ll like and why (post your comments on the blog) and soon I will give my review on the new products. 2008 is looking good.
Here are some of the top manufacturers, but that's not near all of them.

Always an exciting time of year to see all the new technology. You might want to fix the Bowtech link, it sends you to a muscle specialist. I like to see the improvements in the Bear Bow line. I like the bow selector that Hoyt has on their Web site. I am most impressed with the Bowtech line. That Binary cam system seems to make so much since to me. I am currently shooting a mathews switchback. The new technology they are promoting isn't quite enough to make me want another. I really think I am going to be shooting a Bowtech this year. They have impressed me the most. I love this time of year, can't you feel 3-D season coming. I do...

Hey T-Bone,
For sure Bowtech has turned into the premiere line of bows today. That 82nd airborne is an awesome bow and if i hadnt bought one last years then that would be my investment. You cant go wrong with any bows now a days but for peak performance worth the price go with a Bowtech. I love mine. Another great blog. See ya. Todd
Hey T-Bone,
I don't know much about bows yet but I am learning. I think the Hoyt line look awsome. Talk to ya later.

I currently shoot a Ross CR334 but have owned a Mathews Outback. I'm really liking the Bowtech General and 101st. One of those might be my next bow.
Happy hunting!
Bowtech has was again cornered the market on the price/value aspect. but the bow I would love to hear more about is the new Sims Limbsaver "Deadzone" Can you imagine a bow built by a company dedicated to sound deadening.
I read your article and checked all those sites out, but I ended up buying the new Hoyt Katera and love it i recomend it to anyone. Thanks!

Did you happen to see that Resin True Quiet treestand at the ATA show. Its going to revolutionize the industry. www.treestand hunter.com
T-Bone, I've been bow hunting for about 10 years now. Two years ago I bought a Fred Bear Instinct because it was cheap, what a mistake (sorry bow-unforgiving)!
I've learned the hard way that you get what you pay for when it comes to bows. I'll never go cheap again. This year I bought a Diamond Black Ice by Bowtech for $650. The bow is so smooth that the manufacturer's tags didn't move at all when I released the arrow. The grip is perfect, your hand stays straight with proper form. The bow is light, balanced and forgiving. I'm definitely a Bowtech fan now!
I'm thinking about changing the arrow rest on my bow. Right now I use a whisker biscuit but it tends to destroy the fletchings on my arrows. Also, I think it slows-down my arrows. Do you have any recommendations?
Thanks!
