Gobble, Gobble

Well, looks like we have a winner for the gobbler question. Bowhunter4life was correct with this response:

A wild turkey's beard grows through a featherless oval of skin called a papilla. When a turkey has more than one papilla on it's breast, it can grow multiple beards.

Congratulations and we'll get a hat to you soon.

Turkey season is opening in Georgia next weekend. So how many of you will be in the turkey woods for Easter?

Have a great weekend and you better knock the dust off your calls.

T-Bone

PS-Bowhunter4life: Please send an email to prostaff@realtree.com with your address and I'll get you a signed hat.

    Congrats Bowhunter4life!

T-Bone I'm looking forward for turkey season to start, and if my wife will let me get away with it I'll be in the woods Easter. I knocked the dust off my calls about 2 weeks a go but from the way I sound I should of done it 2 months a go, I need more practice! Take care.

That's a great idea you should have more little contests for signed T-bone memorabilia in the future, but hopefully the next question is about deer, or monster bucks trivia.
I want that big billed hat with the custom v cut you wore on Monster bucks. AWESOME!

Cant wait for this friday. i'm a pastor so I wont be in the woods for easter morning but I will for that evening. I have some people in my church who are letting me hunt on some farm land and I have been scouting for about a month and they have some big birds. This is my first year hunting turkey and I am exited about it. South Louisiana is full of turkey hunters so I am in good company. Good luck all and God bless.

Good Job to Bowhunter4life! That was a real good answer. I always thought a papilla was a fruit.. Just kidd'n.

Hey T-bone, I won't be in the woods until mid April, so feed me all the juicy details of ya'lls turkey season down south. Wish I had the time to be down their with ya'll. Good luck to ya's
