We're taking a quick break from our bowhunting tips to talk a little bit about turkeys and turkey hunters. It seems that more and more turkey hunters are traveling to multiple states each year to hunt.
So I wanted to see just how important killing a Grand Slam is to you?
Post a comment so we can see just how everyone feels about this topic and if you are traveling more for turkeys (even though gas is $4.00 a gallon!).

Hey T-Bone,
It will be a challenge that one day i will pursuit. I think that the turkey grand slam is more in reach for the average joe to complete and be proud of where as trying the big game slam. I personally will one day complete it once with gun and try once with bow also. I cant wait. Plus it allows u to kill me in your season which is always more fun. See ya

Hey T-Bone,
I would love to kill a Grand Slam but I have not kill a turkey yet. I think it would be cool to get a Grand Slam (especially with Realtree) :) The first thing that I need to do first is kill my first turkey. I have never traveled anywhere to hunt so I don't know how that works, but maybe one day I would be able too. Talk to ya later.

P.S. Can't wait for more archery tips.
Turkeys are hard enough for me in my own state. I am not willing to through money at something that is going to be just as hard in another state. Maybe I will in my later years.
The furthest I travel is about 5 hours to Kentucky. The rest of my hunting is in Indiana.
Grand Slam is not something I am interested in right now. Maybe later. I have hunted turkey for some 10 years now and had a lot of close calls, but never had one slung over the shoulder. Bagging my first eastern is "still" tops on my list.
Season opens tommorrow morning!! Let's hope I can get it done this year.
