Well a report from the field, I had some success in Iowa. I really
wanted to shoot a big buck in Iowa, but I just can't say no to the ladies.
LOL!!
Actually, we had a good week in Iowa and saw a couple of good bucks, but
between camera light or too young, we did not harvest a buck. But we were
able to help Lee and Tiff out with the doe population. Good news is that I get
to go back and hopefully fill my buck tag. Please ya'll wish me luck. I
have wanted this tag for along time. And do not want to eat a Iowa tag
sandwich.
Travis
I'm wishing you luck, but I'll also include a tasty recipe for an Iowa tag sandwich just in case -
Ingredients:
1 Iowa deer tag
Hogie roll
Venison (not from Iowa)
A1 sauce
Peppers/onions, etc
Cheese
Marinate venison in A1 sauce, then cook with peppers and onions and seasoning. Place venison and peppers/onions on roll, top with cheese and A1 sauce. Broil to give the roll a toasted crunch. Throw Iowa deer tag away with disgust. Eat sandwich.
Good Luck!!!!
good luck to ya T-Bone. Nobody likes a tag sandwich. It's kind of bitter tasting. Good looking doe and hopefully Lee and Tiffany can put you on some big bucks later on this year. Good luck, a fellow bowhunter. Jake, Illinois
Hey T-Bone,
Congrats on your slick head (they eat good too). Good Luck in Iowa. I hope you kill a monster. Lee & Tiffany have some huge bucks. I hope one day I get to hunt Iowa and other places with you and Realtree. Talk to ya later.
God Bless & Good Huntin'

Good luck t-bone... I hope your arrow tears him up like the salad bar at ole country buffet during a white trash reunion!
Good luck T Bone, i am confident in your next trip to the lakoski farm. The rut should be in full blast so make sure to put that tag to use.
Nice Job! Looks like a pretty good size Doe.
We are at the peak of the Pre-rut here in Indiana. My best friend shot a Pope and Young last night. He was so pumped. The funny thing is he called me to help him get it out of the woods. So on the way to the farm, I must have seen 30 deer in the picked fields. They were all over the place!
When we got the deer over to our field dressing spot, we looked up and saw a huge eight point standing in the picked corn field about 60 yds away just watching us. It was dark by then and the lights from the truck must have hidden us from his vision. He stood there the whole time, then when we where done he just walked off. I thought well them bucks are definatley in the stupid stage. Thats what running women and fighting your buddies will get ya. It will get you a carbon love shaft sent to you by air mail!
Good job!
